i spoke this past sunday in 180 (middle school) and when i was thinking about what God wanted me to share he spoke something to me….
i spoke about how so many times through out the day we compare ourselves to other people and that one thought can destroy us for the rest of the day…. we start thinking im not smart enough, pretty-handsome enough, talented enough….the list could go on forever… fill in your own insecurities … and these insecurities begin to cause us to change the way we act, dress, talk… just to be accepted or feel better about ourselves… but even in the mist of changing all these things we still never feel complete or better about ourselves its just a race with no finish line… its like we fall asleep to who we really are to what GOD created us to be…. and after a while we can’t even figure out who we are under it all…
we all live with insecurities…. all of this brought me to the story of moses (exodus 4:10) when he ask GOD to send someone else because he has never been good with words and will never be, i get tongue tied… and GOD replied (this is my fav. part) who created your mouth who says if people can see or not, can hear or not…. is it not I the Lord…
in the mist of everything just like moses we for get who created us and who has all the power….
also to prove this you should read psalms 139:13:18 it say GOD knit us together… we are all fearfully and wonderfully made….he saw our unformed bodies… he know everyday ordained for us…. when we awake everyday he is still with us…
GOD created each of us different for a reason so why do we compare ourselves we are not suppose to be the same so it is impossible and will only bring disappointment…
…So during this season of Thanksgiving don’t forget to thank GOD for who you are who he created you to be…
GOD has been teaching me to be secure in who he has created me to be so i thank GOD for who I am
